This hasn’t been the easiest of years. It began with Graham in hospital during the first week of January and has just ended with him in hospital on Christmas Day! Each time it was with a chest infection (also flu this time) and because he’d fallen, due to no strength caused by the infection. Fortunately we’ve had speedy and caring attention by the NHS. We’re hoping that next year wont be more of the same!
On a cheerier note, I’m hoping to get out into the countryside of Sedbergh with a friend who’s coming to stay over the New Year. I’m also taking part in an exhibition at Farfield Mill, called ‘Winter into Spring’. This has been arranged by the Green Door Art group of which I’m a member. It’s very convenient that the exhibition is in Farfield Mill which is next door to my studio because for once, I don’t need to worry about handing in times which usually are quite specific and difficult to fit in with.
I’m submitting 3 art works including this pastel which is fittingly called ‘Winter into Spring’!
