The weather has been glorious and we’ve been spending lots of time in the garden and on the allotment. Blackbirds and robins have been very busy in our garden building nests and then looking after their young. But we are feeling very sad because the magpies have been attacking the baby blackbirds and we can’t hear any sounds from the nest any more. The parents did their best to protect them but we haven’t seen them for 2 days now so it looks like the nest must be empty.
So, here is my drawing of a male blackbird in their honour.
