Kendal Parish Church

Earlier this month, some of my work was selected to be part of an exhibition in this church organised by the Green Door Art Group. The church is one of the widest in the country, and is most unusual by containing five aisles. The ceiling is decorated with painted angels and there is some wonderful stained glass. It’s well worth a visit.

The work ,which was displayed on large stands and was very well lit, was very varied and covered landscapes, florals, abstracts etc.  There was a rota for us all to sit on duty and it was very interesting to meet other members of the group.

The church has a plan to put on more events such as this for the community.

I was very pleased to sell this pastel, Autumn Lakes.
