For some time now I have had the idea of creating a series of paintings of markets in cities around the world. Graham’s family worked on the markets in Bolton so whenever we visit a new city we always spend a lot of time in the markets. We visited Tangiers a couple of years ago and of course spent lots of time wandering around the market there. It was all very busy and colourful, especially the fruit stalls which were piled up with fruit. I finished a painting last week of one of these fruit and veg. stalls.
