Winter Garden

We went to the Winter Garden in Dunham Massey today. It felt like the rest of South Manchester was there but it did look very pretty with snowdrops and daffodils blooming. There were some miniature Irises on sale which were called ‘George’, so of course we had to buy some pots of them in honour of our new Great Nephew.

It’s been very gloomy recently so it was lovely to see some sunshine and I was inspired to start potting up some of our plants at home. Here is a painting of some Grape Hyacinths which have looked beautiful on the windowsill.

It’s one of my friend’s birthday today. I won’t be seeing her for a while so, Happy Birthday, Hazel.
